If you mix your own porcelain one of the difficult things is to chose your ingredients. I am searching for an ideal packing of the grains to throw my clay at my way and preference. The optimal packing is different for all technics and for all people. Over the last two years I mixed more than 200 blends and throw bowls with all of them.
I judge the porcelain in workability and 'throwability' as follows:
